Pleasant Park
Pleasant Park is an expansive oasis where memories are made! Adventure awaits in our 1.5-acre Enchanted Forest! Designed with inclusivity in mind, the magical forest features nine unique play villages, each offering immersive experiences for children of all ages and abilities. From castle forts and pirate ships to fairy gardens and dinosaur dig sites, there’s something for everyone to discover and enjoy. The park also features a vibrant splash pad with colorful water features, interactive elements, and shaded seating areas for families to appreciate. Additionally, visitors can partake in various sporting activities such as pickleball, basketball, baseball, and soccer on the park’s many courts and fields.
Rodger's Family Skate Park
Rodger’s Family Skate Plaza is a popular skatepark for all ages and skill levels and a short walk from Salem St. in Downtown Apex. This welcoming destination offers an exciting escape for both enthusiasts and families alike. Its 13,000 square foot, 4-tiered skate plaza mimics street skating conditions and also includes competition skateboarding elements. If you want to perfect your moves on the smooth surfaces or tackle the challenging ramps, the park appeals to all interests. Apex Community Park
Nature lovers will delight in the tranquil beauty of Apex Community Park. It’s the perfect spot for families to bond and little ones to burn off some energy. Basketball courts, tennis courts, and soccer fields provide friendly pickup games or organized matches. There’s something new and exciting at Apex Community Park! Two state-of-the-art street hockey rinks have been unveiled marking a significant enhancement to the park’s recreational offerings, which resulted from the collaboration between the Carolina Hurricanes and the Town of Apex. Each rink measures 160 feet by 75 feet and one rink is designated solely for street hockey, while the other is designed as a multipurpose court, accommodating hockey, futsal, and basketball activities. In partnership with the Carolina Hurricanes, the Town of Apex offers a variety of programs for all ages, including try-hockey-for-free sessions, organized league hockey, tournaments and camps, and clinics and pick-up hockey games. These activities aim to promote the sport and provide accessible opportunities for the community to engage in hockey-related activities. Whether you’re seeking a leisurely stroll or a more spirited hike, Apex Nature Park provides its own unique blend of beauty. If you’re into sports and games, the park offers fields for a soccer match, a friendly game of pickle ball, or maybe even a picnic with your pals. There are basketball courts, a playground, as well as a sand volleyball court. The park also has disc golf, sometimes called frisbee golf, where players throw discs at a target while navigating natural obstacles. A fun activity for all ages!
Kelly Road Park features well-maintained walking trails, making it a favorite spot for nature and fitness enthusiasts alike. These trails offer opportunities for leisurely strolls, jogging, or simply enjoying the serenity of the outdoors. The park also includes multiple sports facilities. Basketball courts invite friendly games, while the open fields are perfect for soccer, frisbee, or a picnic with family and friends. Jaycee Park is a vibrant outdoor space in Apex, offering a range of amenities and activities for all ages. Including a picnic shelter and grill, softball field and batting cage, playground with shade structure, and trailhead for Beaver Creek Greenway. Also located at Jaycee Park, excitement abounds as a new amenity recently opened – a youth-sized turf cricket pitch! Whether you’re a cricket enthusiast or just looking for a new experience, Jaycee Park is the perfect place to catch a match or try your hand at this exciting sport.
